Eric Church Strips Down 'Some Of It' At The 2019 CMA Awards

Eric Church gave a heartfelt performance of his latest single, "Some Of It" at the CMA Awards on Wednesday (November 13).

The country star was joined by his guitarist, Jeff Hyde, on a small stage under two spotlight for the stripped down performance. The simplicity of the live rendition allowed the meaningful lyrics to shine brighter than ever. Girls like to laugh

"Tears don't last / And scared's what praying's for / If it's close, swing the bat / Everybody's gotta past / And love's worth living for / When you dance, hold her close / 'Til it breaks, go for broke / Be the first to reach for her hand / No you don't get to do some things again," Church sings.

"Some Of It" was co-written by Church and Hyde alongside Clint Daniels and Bobby Pinson. The song off Church's 2018 record, Desperate Man, became the singer's eighth career No. 1.

Church received three nominations at this year's CMA Awards. He was nominated for Music Video of the Year for "Some Of It," Album of the Year for Desperate Man, and Entertainer of the Year.

Country music icon, Garth Brooks ended up being named the 2019 Entertainer of the Year among other nominees including Carrie Underwood, Keith Urban and Chris Stapleton. A full list of winners from the 53rd Annual CMA Awards can be seen here.
